How To-8: "How to Keep Your Books Neat"

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

Are you a student or a pupil who uses loads of exercise books, or just someone who uses loads of notebooks which always seem to be messy and unorganized?
This article will help you keep notes neat and organized, making it easier to read or use them when you need to.

Steps

  1. When you buy a notebook, choose one you really like. If you are given an exercise book, decorate it with things that you like and look good. If you are using a new notebook you like, it will encourage you to keep it neat and organized.
  2. Always date and title your work clearly, so you know what it is about and when you did it. Underline the date and title or write them in bigger letters, to make them stand out.
  3. Try to keep your handwriting neat and clear. If you make a mistake, rub it out, or if using pen, just cross it out neatly. You can use tippex, but this can be messy and it is easier to cross things out.
  4. Always draw diagrams and pictures in pencil, so if you make a mistake you can rub it out and change it. Diagrams can be very helpful to help you understand the notes or explanation, so use diagrams when you can.
  5. Try to separate your work using subheadings, paragraphs or bullet points. This makes the work a lot easier to read and understand.
  6. Stick in any sheets neatly, and try not to have loads of sheets hanging out of the book.

Tips

  • You can sometimes rip out pages if you make a very bad mistake, but this is not usually necessary.

Warnings

  • Be careful when cutting.
