from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
Are you a preteen or teenager that enjoys reading or loves books? Have you ever thought about creating a little library for you and your family to enjoy? If so, read this article.
Steps
- Tell your family about your plan. Give them a list of rules for your library. You can have any price for late fees, but be reasonable. Most of all, be creative, and don't forget to make library cards!
- Find a room in your house for the library. You need your own space for your library to put your books and a few seats for your visitors at your library. If your family has a spare room in the house, that’s a good place to have it.
- Get lots of books or enough so your family has a good selection. If you love books, you probably already have a lot, but if you don’t have enough books, you can go buy them at a garage sell or any store. Make sure the books are not torn up; make sure they’re good quality and decent looking.
- Create seating arrangements. When your family comes to your library they want to have a nice, quiet, and comfortable place to read. You can have comfortable chairs to sit in and you could possibly have a small table.
Tips
- Having books for all ages is a wonderful idea, if you have a younger sibling, they may enjoy picture books, or you could have some coloring supplies for them.
- Having mints is a good idea to thank your family for visiting your library.
Warnings
- Don't be a mean librarian, your family probably will not want to come if you do so.
